Saving Our Culture One Site At A Time

Are you upset by the copyright monopolists destroying the websites you love, or do you run a website which you are debating taking offline because of the legal or financial  pressure of running a website which could be seen as legally questionable? Patriots of the Digital Revolution, the organization which runs The Ultimate Ebook Library and TorMovies.org is looking to expand it’s network to include another torrent or cyberlocker website and rescue it from being deleted by it’s admins.

We believe that sharing culture is a right and is a morally positive thing to do, and we are ready to take on the lawyers, the monopolists, and any other person who would like to stand in the way of sharing culture. We have created a censorship resistant array of servers all over the world; we have made friends with lawyers, accountants, political figures and some religious figures to help keep us safe; we have a line of succession as well, so if our leader is arrested, someone else will be able to take over management duties of the websites.

The Pirate Bay might be the most resistant resistant website on the Internet, but Patriots of the Digital Revolution has the most censorship resistant server array that you have never heard of. We are ready to increase the size of our network and save sites from being taken offline. It’s time we make our stand against the abusive laws and powers from the United States and say “This is our Internet, this is our culture, and you will not take this away from us!”.

Patriots of the Digital Revolution is proud to announce a new server has been added to it’s array of censorship resistant of servers. The server name for this box has been named: “Koontz” after the author.

Protecting Our Digital Future

Patriots of the Digital Revolution has always been dedicated to protecting the internet and our culture in the “pirate community”. When The Ultimate Ebook Library was going to shut down due to legal pressure, we took it over and grew it. When TorMovies’ founder was limiting access to the website due to fears from his government, we took it over and shared it with the world.

Today we are in a time where many popular file sharing websites are shutting down and destroying culture with them. We need to have more filesharing services on the Internet, and the ones we have should stay open to help their communities share the culture that they have built bonds with.

Patriots of the Digital Revolution is creating a fund to purchase websites that used to be run as businesses which are now closing down due to legal pressure and use the profits from those businesses to create a pro-sharing culture. Big Industry is fighting with lots of money and power, and it’s time we fight back with Internet Ads, TV Ads, and possibly lobbyists.

We are looking for $10,000 crowed sourced donations, and we are putting up our own financing which will match each donation. If you want to see a strong North American pro-sharing campaign that is professional and targeted… now is the time to act. Protect our future and donate today.

Press Release: The Future of TUEBL and TorMovies

For Immediate Release:

Vancouver, BC, Canada – We have just got word that the United States Federal Government acting against the interests of its own citizens and people around the world have decided again that it get’s to make the laws on what is and is not legal on the Internet. By arresting Kim Dotcom for operating MegaUpload, a website that follows even US law (which it’s not required to do).

Patriots of the Digital Revolution, parent to the popular e-book sharing site TUEBL and the movie indexing website TorMovies, would like to express its deep concern with this act that can be seen as nothing less than terrorism, aimed to display its power only a day after the internet went dark.. protesting its abusive internet bills SOPA and PIPA.

We are here to say that TUEBL and TorMovies both have extensive backups and fallback plans to protect ourselves against these abusive acts and will fight any attempt at removing our sites from the Internet. Included in our plans are multiple servers using multiple companies, located in multiple countries. We also have a succession plan which allows our website to keep operating even if Travis McCrea (the administer) is arrested.

“The United States Government has been in the pockets of politicians since before I was born,” states founder and owner Travis McCrea, “they now have their citizens at a point where they just accept it as normal, and now can get away with whatever they want. Murdering innocent people abroad has become boring, and so they are now rounding up people who are committing no crime where they live and charging them in the United States. This is as absurd as expecting Saudi Arabia to have someone arrested in Canada because they were drinking alcohol.”

Patriots of the Digital Revolution would like to remind everyone that the current URLs are http://tuebl.com http://tuebl.info http://tuebl.me & tormovies.org and tormovies.info. We are also looking into using TORs hidden services. You can keep up to date with any changes here at http://digitalpatriots.org which is our blog, and does not link to any content and is only a free speech platform.

Patriots of the Digital Revolution stand in solidarity with Richard O’Dwyer, the 23 year old who is being kidnapped from the United Kingdom by the US Government, Gottfrid Svartholm who was driven into hiding (fingers crossed that it’s not something worse) by the corrupted Swedish courts, and now Kim Dotcom who has been allegedly arrested in New Zealand based on the request of the US Governments. We will not rest while our friends are in jail, if any government wants to come for us, we say “bring it”.

Patriots of the Digital Revolution is the spokes organization for TUEBL and TorMovies, run by Travis McCrea who also runs the two sub organizations. We are open for comment at info@tormovies.org or me@travismccrea.com.

Patriots of the Digital Revolution is open to acquiring and maintaining any cyberlocker, torrent site, or file sharing service where the current owner no longer feels safe enough to operate themselves.

TUEBL Under Attack

Yesterday TUEBL was under a DDoS attack, because of our new server arrangement we were fairly secure. Most of you didn’t even notice the downtime. We currently have our reserve server working at http://doctorow.tuebl.com but even that is having problems (especially as we work on it frantically to grab code and stuff from it to apply to our falkvinge server).

We are going to be fine, TUEBL isn’t going away. We are simply having some growing pains… just like Twitter and every other website that has such an amazing fan base.

We will not surrender, we will not give up, and no script kiddies or lawyers will keep us from serving the books that you love. Thank you for your support.

Why Can’t Writers Read?

We have been engaged in an on-going… thing. Some might call it a feud, we honestly think that it’s a poor writer who is lost in the world and has no one for company other than her cats, trying to get a little attention.

We just want everyone to know, that we are NOT unwilling to take content down. We just ask that the owner of the copyright provide us something signed that confirms that they are, in fact, the copyright owner of the work. Emails are not legally binding.

In our policy of full disclosure, here is our email conversation so far with Cherise:
